Hello!
My name is Emma, and I'm a communications strategist.
My Story
I switched back and forth a lot during my university years. At first, I wanted to be a high school English teacher, then I wanted to be a therapist, then I considered social work and then... I didn't know what I wanted.

As I wrapped up my final year at The University of Winnipeg, I started looking into potential careers combining my three favourite things: social psychology, conflict resolution and writing.

Little satisfies me more than creating a curated strategy to help an organization reach its goals. My approach to strategy means answers every possible "why" and "how" that might come up -- no question will go unanswered.
My Hobbies
When I'm not getting ahead of projects, you'll find me doing one of four things:

Reading
My favourite genres include all types of fiction (contemporary, literary, plain ol' fiction), the occasional nonfiction and lighthearted romance. I especially enjoy stories that evoke feelings of extreme sadness.

Playing a card game
I spend lots of time playing one-person card games like Klondike and Pyramid that requires intentional strategy. It helps me relax after long, hectic days.

Rating music
I see the world in numbers one through ten, decimals included. I have a whole system set up to track my monthly and yearly streams statistics. Think of it as data and analytics to track human behaviour.

Playing The Sims 4
Whether it's building a house, creating a family or playing through a legacy challenge, I play The Sims in bursts of several hours. I've got to let out my creative steam somewhere.
